Who this policy covers
This Privacy & Cookie Policy applies to voelpellaw.com. The site provides information about Matthew Voelpel and legal services offered through Valdebenito & Voelpel, P.C. It does not govern third-party websites that may be linked from this site.
The website is informational. Visiting it, sending an email, or making a telephone inquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship. Do not send confidential, time-sensitive, or highly sensitive information before an attorney confirms that the firm can consider or accept the matter.
02 · Information collected
Information you provide and technical information
If you use the secure intake form or contact Matthew by telephone or email, you may voluntarily provide your name, contact information, incident date and location, case category, preferred contact method, referral source, and a brief description of a potential legal matter. That information may be used to respond to your inquiry, conduct an initial conflicts review, and determine whether further discussion is appropriate.
The online intake form is provided by Jotform. Form submissions are encrypted and must be accessed through the firm’s secured Jotform account. The form does not request document uploads, medical records, Social Security numbers, or insurance identification numbers. Jotform may also process technical data needed to display, secure, and operate the form under its own privacy and security practices. More information is available in Jotform’s privacy policy.
The site and its service providers may automatically receive limited technical information, including browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location, and the date and time of a visit. Website hosting providers may also process IP addresses and similar technical data for delivery, reliability, fraud prevention, and security.
03 · Analytics and cookies
How Google Analytics is used
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the website. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies, including cookies commonly named _ga, and similar identifiers to distinguish visits and prepare aggregated reports. The reports help evaluate traffic, page performance, and the usefulness of website content.
The site records interactions with telephone, email, consultation, attorney-referral, and secure intake links as lead-related events. It also records when the secure intake provider reports that a submission was completed. The site also records clicks that take a visitor to the Valdebenito & Voelpel, P.C. website. These events identify the type and general location of the interaction, but do not contain a person’s name, telephone number, email address, form answers, or the substance of a legal inquiry. The site is not configured to send the contents of legal inquiries to Google Analytics.

Online intake submissions are protected by Jotform’s form-encryption feature and are reviewed within the secured form account rather than delivered in full by ordinary notification email. No website, email system, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, ethical, security, and recordkeeping obligations.

Managing cookies and communications
Most browsers allow you to delete or block cookies through their privacy settings. Blocking analytics cookies may affect measurement but should not prevent access to the website’s informational content. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
